pnital 36 Posted August 25, 2009 I see that you really joined the American society, and this was accepted to the exhibition, and rightly so. It is a very nice"dancing" pose, with nice timing, well lighted and nice BG. Beautiful feathers details and its colors. Well observed. I like as well the previous yellow birds.Looks a new direction of yours.;-)) Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted August 26, 2009 Stunning shot, from the awesome colors to the delicate ripple of the water to the strong sense of focus and depth of field. There's personality in nature and you've conveyed that. Link to comment
Donna Stavis 0 Posted August 27, 2009 I would love to have this framed in my home. Caught between motion and non-motion, with Emily Post posture, a peacock cockiness in his flair of feathers, and the burgundy neck-- he's lovely. Link to comment
rogerleekam 0 Posted August 27, 2009 Thank you, Fred and Donna. For me, the male Wood Duck is one of the most beautifully colored birds. The usual photos are of them just sitting on the water, and I was fortunate to get this guy doing something interesting. Link to comment
