goldband 0 Posted January 9, 2003 This is a long-abandoned cannon mount in Fort Point, under the San Francisco anchorage of the Golden Gate Bridge. The room was very nearly dark, so my exposure was several minutes with Provia 100 in the 4X5 camera. The photo was scanned and digitally processed to highlight certain area in original color and others in monochrome. Link to comment
kezia 0 Posted January 9, 2003 I like the photo, but I'm not sure about the selective desaturation. I actually think it detracts from my appreciation of the range of tones here. Maybe if the transition between the two was less abrupt? Or just partial desaturation of the whole image? Link to comment
robert_g._kelly 0 Posted January 9, 2003 I think that anyone with the patience and skill to use a 4x5 camera should have the sense to not use cheesy effects. Link to comment
john_mount1 0 Posted January 10, 2003 I don't like the monochrome/color mix, but I have to hand it to you getting such a good exposure at this location (I have tried and had pretty bad results at Fort Point). Link to comment
