mhahn 26 Posted August 17, 2009 The White House would be off to the left of the photo. The street in front of the White House was still open when this picture was taken. Link to comment
syed 0 Posted August 18, 2009 Good shot! I just wish the picture was slightly wider - another converging line to the right to complement the other one would have been awesome. Link to comment
mhahn 26 Posted August 18, 2009 Thanks, Bob. Syed, this print is from a scan of a snapshot. One of these days I'll scan the negative and see if the picture can be cropped to slightly better effect. I'm sure there's a little detail around the edges of the negative that didn't make it into the snapshot (assuming I can locate the negative, that is). Martin Link to comment
elfilosofo 0 Posted August 18, 2009 Very attractive retro atmosphere of the image. Greetings. Link to comment
mhahn 26 Posted August 18, 2009 Thank you, Jose. I never thought that someday some of my pictures would be pretty old, but it's happening. Thus the retro feel, I think. Martin Link to comment
momagnum 5 Posted August 18, 2009 I Like your picture. Nice cut. "Almost BW" works very well. Tommy Link to comment
mhahn 26 Posted August 18, 2009 Thank you, Tommy. I guess I took out a lot of yellow to compensate for the scan of the snapshot, which was way too yellow. Thus the black-and-white (and the retro?) look. Martin Link to comment
trisha jean-angela 5 Posted March 19, 2010 I like it; it has a very retro feel due to the tones...almost b/w except for the red stop lights and a slight green shade tot the trees. Very well done. Thank you for sharing. :) Link to comment
