This photograph was a bit of a challenge as the light has to pass

through an IR block filter that comes stock on every dslr, making for

lengthy exposures. On my Olympus E-500 the results aren't very high

quality so I got the idea of stitching together several images to bump

up the resolution. This meant that I had to compose the image with

the IR pass filter off the camera, add the filter, expose for ~30 to

60 seconds, wait for the in-camera noise reduction to process the

image (another minute or two), apologize to my bored hiking companion

and compose the next sector of the panorama. One of the perks of this

method is that it allows for ultra-wide shots. It's hard to tell in

this image just how big the trees were and how unsatisfactory the

scope of my 28mm lens was for capturing their full length. Hats off

to Adobe for the seamless stitch job.
