joshloeser 0 Posted August 19, 2009 The water is so clear, and of course the image captures that. The canoe almost appears to be moving forward along the path laid out for it. Well done. Link to comment
shirkwolfe 0 Posted August 30, 2009 Absolutely beautiful. I like that the photo is mostly reflection and very little of the reflected. Are you a traveler? Your portfolio is so varied. Looking forward to more photos. Link to comment
mbh 0 Posted August 30, 2009 Thank you all for the lovely comments. And Susan, I've traveled all my life. I lived in England for a year and then Greece for three years and of course traveled all over during those period. Now, I mainly travel on business mostly to China. The joy of photography for me is that I always have an excuse to get out of the hotel room and start walking. Link to comment

aramat57 3 Posted September 15, 2009 Love the color and the impressionistic feel of this. It works on many levels. It is not what I normally picture when I think of China, but now I will! Best regards, Tammy Link to comment
mbh 0 Posted September 15, 2009 Tamara, Thank you. West Lake is spoken of as paradise on earth by many in China. It's a famous haunt for lovers. They come here to sit by the lake and newlyweds even if they can't be married here will often make a day trip of it to get there picture taken by the lake. And of course, you have many lovely weddings on "house-boat" type vessels. It's surrounded by Pagodas (four I believe). Mark Link to comment
tracy_wilson1 0 Posted September 16, 2009 I definitely saved this to my favorites. This has the appearance of a fine oil painting and your composition is excellent. Link to comment
mbh 0 Posted September 16, 2009 Thank you Tracy. For me, it was the canoe. It caught my eye and I took the shot. It was only later that I realized I had all those wonderful reflections in the water. I'm hoping to take my family out to China one of these days and West Lake will definitely be on my agenda. Link to comment
