danieljohansson 0 Posted August 23, 2010 Great photography Marc! I have enjoyed your work for quite long time her at photo.net and I believe that you are very talented! The sky in this shot is the most amazing part but I have to say that I think the image is way too dark. If you push the highlights the image would really pop and look sparkling. You shouldn’t have to look at the monitor in a dark surrounding because then the image is too dark. We use special daylight light tubes in the professional photo labs and in the digital retouch room we just have a few less light tubes to make it slightly darker than in the printing room but the difference shouldn’t be that much… Link to comment
john_bloggs 0 Posted September 5, 2010 Great shot overall. The sharpness of the line between the sky and the ridges makes the line stand out in an unnatural manner. Typical blending issue it seems. Link to comment
marcadamus 1 Posted September 6, 2010 Huh. I thought if you thought any of them to have unnatural color it would have been this one! It's REALLY unnatural! I recently reprocessed this to show it off much better. I cannot find the line you're speaking of at 100% on the full res. file, so maybe just a web sharpening artifact showing up on your monitor. mark gamba 0 Posted July 2, 2012 Your ability to previsualize and then nail the image is second to none. Link to comment
