Dog for Sale

There was extreme shade and light for this shot and I tried to balance

it out ~ not sure if it now looks a bit-washed out overall. Also,

would you think that there is just too much in the frame? Your

comments/critiques/suggestions welcomed.

Mike, I think your exposure is as good as it can be - with the contrasty light. I agree the photo is full of detail - perhaps a bit too busy. If the dog were lying down, it might be more effective. Still, a nice shot.

Linda, I did peek into the shop after saying a few words with the owner, who just appeared in the door-way just as I engaged the shutter. There was a right old treasure of old treasures within. I was late in getting to getting to where I was going so didn't venture in to get inevitably caught up with just 'exploring' , but I have promised myself I will do so the next time I am in the vicinity.

P.S. I've never been entirely happy with what I made of this scene. I found time to 'play' and think this image is going in the right direction now. Your views welcomed.

a fine makeover of the original... i don't think it's too cluttered at all... the splendid 'beast' calls attention to itself in either composition... such places should be cluttered, else they wouldn't be interesting... i like your pov on this shot - dog-muzzle height
