nikbryant 0 Posted August 9, 2009 Nice photo, is this processed HDR? or is it all the polorizer? Link to comment
teethgator 0 Posted August 9, 2009 Thanks for commenting Nik. I used both. I always use a polarizer around water. For this series of shots instead of a grad filter I used bracketing( +2,0,-2) and photomatix to combine. Link to comment
f1_young 0 Posted August 9, 2009 Paul, this is wonderful. Great HDR. The canoes to the side really add an interesting color palette. Nice work. Link to comment
Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted August 11, 2009 First, this is a wonderful place to vacation. You have captured some terrific light and reflections here. Did you camp out in the car to get this? I personally think the canoes and pier detract from the image by creating clutter. I am also bothered by what looks like four different images of the lake reflection. I'm not being negatively critical, just think the effort for a great sunrise would be more dramatically and emotionally captured with a more simplistic image. Nice job! Link to comment
Christal1664882414 0 Posted September 6, 2009 I like that you've included the boulders in front and multi-colored boats. To my eye, it doesn't look cluttered.......but it is definitely not the pristine simple photo of Moraine Lake we're used to seeing. I've never done an HDR myself, so I'm not an expert, but to my eye you've done a great job with this. And extra brownie (or boy scout) points for getting up so early! My daughter married a Canadian and lives in Calgary now, so fortunately we'll get to visit this place many times in the future. Link to comment
