david_l._forney 0 Posted August 1, 2009 This is a very different shot than your others. Here, her smile is very engaging and natural. She was not so reserved in front of the camera, and the result is wonderful. The B&W works extremely well here. Very nice job. David Link to comment
aarkp 2 Posted August 1, 2009 She is fantastic! What a smile! Do you shoot raw or not? If you shoot raw keep the original safe. You'll enjoy working on it. If you don't shoot raw please start at the very earliest. A crop suggestion -- no way meant to belittle this fine portrait, just another friendly viewpoint... Link to comment
davidorea 1 Posted August 1, 2009 I really like the beautiful smile of this lovely girl, Calvin. Excellent b/w portrait! Congrats! Link to comment
amalsircar 2 Posted August 2, 2009 Calvin, excellent portrait. My preference is B & W version, though the other one is equally good. Her smile is enchanting, but her 'whirlwind tresses' are more attractive.Cropping, exposure, tones are superb. Link to comment
whoz_the_man_huh 0 Posted August 2, 2009 Rajat, I do shoot in RAW because that's what I was taught to do, although I'm still not aware of the exact advantages. Heh. Thanks for the alternative viewpoint. I'm guessing you found the hair swirl a bit distracting? Link to comment
