A beautiful - rich image.................wonderful captue of the landscape and the mist adds a touch of 'mystique' for me....so very beautiful....BTW...are you still there...I have no idea how far away the Azores are from the Canaries.....(or are they the same/) but can you see the 'fires' from where you are????? Actually, Azores, a Portuguese archipelago of nine islands, is the place where I was born and my "base camp" when I'm not traveling. I'm planning to stay here for the summer and then.... hit the road once again :-))

The distance between Azores and Canaries is 970 miles, it isn't that close.....indeed, Azores isn't close to any place, they just stay lonely in the middle of North Atlantic Ocean. One may say that Azoreans are the sentinels of the Ocean. Furthermore, the islands are claimed to be the remains from Plato's Atlantis, in fact its peaks. As one can see, the islands and their inhabitants are quite mystical. ;-)
