rod_melotte 0 Posted July 27, 2009 Not sure what category but thought I had to share this. Not the perfect photo but sometimes the subject is more important . Link to comment

robwilson 0 Posted July 29, 2009 This is a very dramatic image. It is not about capturing the 'perfect' photo; it's about capturing the moment, and you have done that very nicely here. I am guessing that you ran this image through HDR to bring out the contrasts. Am I correct? Excellent work! Cheers Rob Link to comment
rod_melotte 0 Posted July 29, 2009 Rod - that is correct - although it was sort of by accident. I still had the auto bracket on and clicked to photos - so - - WHY NOT click a 3rd. I was one of those times when there are MANY shots all 5 seconds apart that looked right. NOW? NOW? NOW? I tried to not have much processing (I loath over processed HDR . . .which I sometimes fall into that trap). I just got off the phone with NOAA - seems that was farther away then it looks. Congratulations and this comes from one of many people I'm sure who are actually scared of what is still to follow for us all with regard to GLOBAL WARMING.
