Tammy your weed appears to be the flower of a chicory plant..... I to have photoed this plant and as was suggested to me i will suggest to you try photoing when the sun isnt so brite. all in all good pic.

You are correct, it is a chicory plant. We have a ton of them that grow in our ditch but this one was up in the yard by a tree and the flower really stuck out against the bark. Thanks for your comments!

The first thing I do when I comment on photographs is look at the detail and when it is blank it is hard to comment with clarity. I like the sharpness in the center of the flower the only thing is that because you used a wide aperture the flower looks flat. The center is pushing out and it would have been nice to see more depth of field in this shot. Perhaps a side shot of the flower would give us more depth.

 

Again the more detail you provide the better the comment on your photograph(s).
