Santorini Church by moonlight

I might ordinarily think there was too much in this photo. But the 2 crosses make a wonderful triangle with the moon, and the moon's rays tie it all together. The colors are sensational, and overall I really love this shot a lot. Is there a more beautiful place than Santorini? It's on our 'list' of places to see.

What a beautiful image...........the colors, tones......light....the MOON!!!! it all comes together to make one beautiful image...!.....I just love it.........wish I was there........at least at that moment to see such a sight.....So well done.....they won't let me give 7's...so hope my 6.s will do.........sincerely, Gail

An excellent piece of work! I have a technical question: how did you manage to balance the exposure of all the dim-lighted objects and the bright and rapidly rising moon?

Nice work, but in my opinion the moon looks a bit too fake. I'm assuming this is either a moon from a separate exposure or that it was 'hilight recovered' so much to get some detail in it. The image might actually look better with the original moon in it, as it would at least match the reflection in the water and not look so pasted in.

Despite all of the limits of viewing on this screen the palate is so finely registered I really would love to view it in print.
