pturton 10 Posted July 22, 2009 I'm not much for concerts but I think you really nailed this one well. Great composition, colours and DOF. Well done. Link to comment
vancouverphotographer 1 Posted July 23, 2009 Paul, I take that as a great compliment if you normally are not into concert photography - thanks :) Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted July 25, 2009 Dale, well composed , good timing. The atmospher is well depicted with the singer's expression, tool and details . I like the backddrop with the second musician. Good light and feeling of the event. Link to comment

mbh 0 Posted August 21, 2009 This really draws you in. The psychedelic purple, the expression on Alex's face and the drummer in the background all put you into the scene. Great shot. Link to comment
vancouverphotographer 1 Posted August 21, 2009 Thanks a lot for that Mark - I definitely tried to get right in to get that feeling and glad you felt it. Link to comment

vancouverphotographer 1 Posted January 19, 2010 Hey Alec, thanks a lot. My fave shot I had that day at that festival .... I'm hoping lightning strikes twice as I might have a chance to see him perform during Olympics 2010 next month. Link to comment
tore 10 Posted January 24, 2010 Nice composition, you've got a nice feeling in the picture, the guitar becomes almost 3D. I like the colors in the background too. Great work. Best regards Tore Link to comment
vancouverphotographer 1 Posted January 24, 2010 Thanks a lot Tore - actually when I view it bigger, I feel almost immersed in the scene (I was front row right against the railings for this shot) which seems to jive with your feeling of a 3D effect - not entirely sure how I achieved the effect but I shot with a 30mm on my Rebel and I seem to recall leaning forward on the fence as much as I could and having the focal plane at a bit of an angle.
