wedeko 0 Posted July 20, 2009 Great low viewpoint, wonderful warm light and beautiful details! Link to comment
mike_stemberg 40 Posted July 20, 2009 The smoothness (blur?) of the surface makes this image as if the swan is on ice! Perhaps it is ice. Anyway. there's a slightly unreal essence somewhere here, apart from that wonderful 'sadness look' which is full of character. Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted July 21, 2009 Ian, this image is just so utterly beautiful. The lighting is superb...your choice of 'processing for the water is very impressive...the baby swan may be sad...but at the same time I sense a 'humbleness' in this image.....I noticed it right away...and was immediately drawn to it. I feel it is very 'marketable' - perfect for a 'Nursery' yet because of the 'peacefulness' I feel when I observe it.....I think it would go nicely in a 'favorite room' where one seeks 'refuge, peace and quiet, or moments of contemplation and renewal'..................I love it..........congrats on an amazing composition......most sincerely, Gail Link to comment

ian_mason2 0 Posted July 21, 2009 Thanks for all the comments! Much appreciated. With regard to the effect on the water, this is perfectly natural. It is a result of the lens being literally at or very slightly below water level - you need to find the right pond to be able to achieve this without getting wet!! Link to comment
