ektorcoughanour 0 Posted July 16, 2009 Rajat,,this is a beautiful capture...the way of she look at the camera..it's so powerful!...among other details like her arms, the inclination of the head and the rays heating the baby's head...It is a soft B&W picture..Kind of retro style...Love it!...Regards. amalsircar 2 Posted July 16, 2009 Rajat, you have captured the quintessence of Indian womanhood. Very good composition, exposure & light control and choice of tone. Compliments. Link to comment
o.bilge 0 Posted July 17, 2009 A marvellous capture.. it looks like a candid shot.. Did you ask her for a permission to capture.. I think you did not.. I think in this way because she behaves very naturally. and you focussed to baby, right?.. OB Link to comment
aarkp 2 Posted July 17, 2009 Ektor, Amal-Da : thank you. Ozgur: this is a candid shot but taken from a great distance at maximum zoom (35mm eq. 504mm); she was not aware of me; i did not seek her permission -- this was taken in April, where i focused i can't really recall but the photograph would suggest the baby ... thank you for your appreciation Link to comment
dara 0 Posted July 18, 2009 Hi Rajat, your picture has a lot of mood and meaning with a certain beauty. However, I would remove the extra distracting hand on the top left corner of the picture with photo editing object remover or blend it in with the background. regards. Dara Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted July 24, 2009 Your Mumbai file is interesting and gives the viewer a glimps of everyday life in the city, This one is soft and beautiful, a bit sad as well. She does not look very happy but do look natural in her pose. well composed.(I do agree with the previous comment to clone out the hand on the upper L side. Nice B/W conversion. Link to comment
aarkp 2 Posted July 24, 2009 Bob -- thank you Dara -- appreciate the edit suggestion, thank you Pnina -- will think about the edit, thank you; my heart went out to her -- so young and pretty, so deeply immersed in her thoughts, seeking shade under a tree on a pavement in this huge indifferent city Link to comment
