orias 0 Posted July 14, 2009 Found a nice pond where these birds cluster together. I wasn't sure of the species. It is a higher ISO than I usually shoot. Are the technicals on this photo high or not? Link to comment
david hemmings 0 Posted July 14, 2009 Hi David, This is a wonderful image of a Black Skimmer. This action you captured is how they feed, they skim the water top for fish. The techs are almost perfect for the time of evening you shot it. There could be a little more detail in the shadows and you could bring them up a bit in shadows/highlights in PS. A really nice capture, well done! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted July 15, 2009 Actually I like the shot and I am sure it was not easy to achieve, given the focal lenght of the lens I suspect and the low lighting to capture such an image is a mark of a good photographer... The distraction of course is a wings where shutter speed could have been a bit faster I suspect to stop the motion.. All in all well done ... MJ 6's Link to comment
