I like the picture, The ''trust' of the child in this emotive shot is remarkable. You have good shapness and skin tone. DOF effect on the BG is enhancing. Consider cropping out the vertical darkness on the right I believe picture will look better without it. Regards ifti.

Thought the father's ( I assume he is the father) is not shown, the child's smile & hugging arms already tell their kinship closeness, trust & love. The bg & DOF compliments the subject.

what a great photo, I love it! What type of lense did you use and what f/stop was it? I like how your photos have a clear focus up front and the background is out of focus but has a great look to it.
