jud 0 Posted January 2, 2003 This photo is a testament to your vision-- You have captured a scene so ordinary and turned it into something extraordinary and beautiful. Great composition. Link to comment
scott bulger 0 Posted January 2, 2003 Wow Mark, very nice job. Excellent lighting, excellent composition. Eye catching work. Did you try it in a more rectangular format without the row of windows at the top? I'd be curious to see that as well. The photo doesn't work without the people on the steps. Very nice. gunes 0 Posted January 2, 2003 I like the way this image looks both alive and 2-dimensional at the same time. A modern day miniature. Great picture. - gokhan Link to comment

seven 0 Posted January 21, 2003 This is a rare scene (to me anyway.) As it unfolded I took it for a painting of sorts; the people and bicycle lend interest. Link to comment
john_borjeson 0 Posted January 21, 2003 Grafitti on an elegant old facade is a nice touch. Link to comment
timje 0 Posted January 22, 2003 Striking. Great visual, with the ornate old and the trashy but also ornate new. The sitters make it more accessible, the lighting/tone/contrast makes it almost feel like a drawing. Link to comment
maria 7 Posted January 22, 2003 I could well recognise German architecture style before looking at the location. Link to comment
rogan 0 Posted January 24, 2003 What I like here are the inclusion of people. The symmetry in the bricks and windows are one thing. Then there's the graffiti which is chaotic and then the people - totally unpredicable. Link to comment
andrew_manrique1 0 Posted January 24, 2003 I really like the two dementional quality, usually I think depth is a big atribute to photos, but this one really works well Link to comment
jon_flynn 0 Posted January 24, 2003 A paradox of delicate and strong, I agree with the 2D feeling. Link to comment
charodiez 0 Posted January 30, 2003 What really makes this shot, and it has already been said, it´s the inclusion of the people, and they are sitting exactly where they should be. Interesting the fact that they are two couples, and one of them have a bike, to break the symmtry. Link to comment
kezia 0 Posted March 2, 2003 This is wonderful. It has a trompe d'oeil feel to it. I can't be sure what's two dimensional and what is three dimensional. Very enjoyable. Link to comment
