Guest Guest Posted July 8, 2009 It's an interesting subject, and your placement is quite good, but the lighting and exposure leave something to be desired. As this art is about great precision, and so much of the interest is in those white threads, you need good separation between them and the burlap, and it's no bad thing to emphasize the texture both of the burlap and the wood bobbins. It helps to bring us into the lacemaker's experience. The one thread leading into the work is a good introduction, and the fabric spread at the top foreshadows what is to come. Link to comment
