thomasmckown 0 Posted July 8, 2009 A hay field at sunset. I used my Sigma 24-70 f2.8 because I like the lens flare it produces although I did have to tone it down a bit. 3 exposures blended for the ideal dynamic range. Link to comment
danturcotte 0 Posted July 9, 2009 This is an absolutely beautiful image. The explosion of colors is fantastic and the HDR is almost subtle. THis is the kind of shot I wish I could capture. Great job! Link to comment
raymondklassphotography 0 Posted July 10, 2009 Hi Thomas, Very nice image. I like the subtle use of HDR. I think aesthetically I would tone down some of the lens flare further - I light the beams extending from the sun, but the aperture "disks" are a little distracting. I also like how you use the front left hay bale to bring the viewer into the image, but wonder if there would be a way to incorporate more of the hay bales, I think it was unfortunate that they are in shadow on the left - one thing to try might be using a bit wider lens and getting closer to the front bale, to exaggerate it even more. Just a thought, but overall an excellent image. Link to comment
