A hay field at sunset. I used my Sigma 24-70 f2.8 because I like the lens flare it produces although I did have to tone it down a bit. 3 exposures blended for the ideal dynamic range.

This is an absolutely beautiful image. The explosion of colors is fantastic and the HDR is almost subtle. THis is the kind of shot I wish I could capture. Great job!

Hi Thomas,

Very nice image. I like the subtle use of HDR. I think aesthetically I would tone down some of the lens flare further - I light the beams extending from the sun, but the aperture "disks" are a little distracting. I also like how you use the front left hay bale to bring the viewer into the image, but wonder if there would be a way to incorporate more of the hay bales, I think it was unfortunate that they are in shadow on the left - one thing to try might be using a bit wider lens and getting closer to the front bale, to exaggerate it even more. Just a thought, but overall an excellent image.
