Linda, Raymond, Gail and Bobby- Thanks for stopping to look and taking time to comment. Gail, you're right - it is fireworks. Linda, I used a three second shutter speed, f/8 @ ISO 100 to get this one. These same settings hideously over-exposed some other aerial displays, so I had to constantly play around with exposure, varying the shutter from one to three seconds, ISO at L1 to 100, and f stops from f/8 to f/13. On Saturday, the 4th, I get to try it all over again with some new ideas, and a new vantage point. I expect the upcoming fireworks to be more colorful and brighter than these, which were during the annual town spring festival.
