The Look

This is a beautiful portrait of a beautiful girl. The colors are perfect. The velvet red gives this that perfect contrast against the blonde hair and those green eyes. The sliver of hair accross her nose is only slightly distractin in my opinion. Simply, a stunning image!

You've captured a very striking pair of eyes here which seem to look at you even if you're standing four metres away from the screen at an angle (try it: it's really amazing). I like it a lot and only wish it was all slightly better framed and composed.

I love the colors and the lighting. I am less enamored of the crop and the expression. I get what you're going for, "the look", but I think you're a little off the mark; she looks a little vacant, lifeless. It's a good shot, though.

There are only 3 things that bother me about this: 1. The strand of hair going down the nose and lips. 2. Maybe a little too tightly cropped?

3. I have to yet to make a photo as good as this!

This is a great portrait. Good composition, but I think it would be better if the right eye would have just a little more space from the edge.

Agreeing with J. Lamarre's comment, IMHO the portrait is very good. Her eyes are stunning and the colours of her face very natural. With those curls of blonde hair and her burgundy sweater the colours of the image are wonderful. An almost perfect image. Congratulations, Leilani!

Congrats on the eye detail; however, I feel the lighting from left is just a few watts too strong, blowing some hair detail and playing tricks with the model's nose.

Like the closeup shot, but that hair in the middle of the photo is distracting. Maybe if that were removed, and the hair on the left were to stand alone, it would be better.

Very nice. I like the way the overall photo is in balance (hair, eyes, face, mouth, clothes) while just pulling a little more attention to the eyes. Very good shot!

very intense ---but not fond of the crop

Good expression, good lighting the messed up hair and stare into the camera gives a bit of a bad girl note it. The whole folderr is really great.

although I'm sure it was on purpose, but the strand of hair coming down the middle bugs me a bit... great shot, though.

This photo grew on me whilst i was looking at it. At first i didn't like the hair, not the fact that it was across her face, but because it was fairly fine and curly and this distracted... but then i realised that it actually made the photo highly original and made the model look even more different and stunning.

Leilani, I like the way in which you "control" your models; natural and unforced, yet formally you get what you want.

I am particularly impressed with the images where you provoke strong eye contact (like this one)...you seem to achieve a fair share of sensual stares!

Do you use a fully equipped photographic studio or do you customize whatever space you find?
