You truly are right about this colorful little bug....there is one shot where I could actually see his 'chompers'.....as pretty as he is 'persistant'........there is one summer a few years ago, where a 'swarm' of aphids came to Canada from Europe (?).....they were't the usual 'greenish' ones I see, but almost a 'lt. beige/grey'. I didn't truly realize the 'mass' of these 'monsters' until I soaked my lettuce before eating. I always soak it in 'salt water' as the bugs rise to the top........my husband had made the salad the night before...and is not as particular as I......when I saw the top of the water almost covered in these aphids....I was almost sick......

 

Aphids for some reason have alwsy loved to destroy my Purple Sandcherry leaves wherever I have lived, and their destruction is hard to imagine when you know how small they are.........thanks for sharing Les.....and for your kind words of critique......sincerely, Gail

Hi Gail- Wonderful color palette of autumn hues and jewel tones. I especially like the dof and the textures that range from hard and glossy to soft and fuzzy. Nice frame!

Simple , colorful, and very nice overall... I'd just suggest to drop this complicated (and not very tasteful) framing, but the picture itself is a successful take, that surely stands on its own. Best regards.
