bettiecl 0 Posted July 5, 2009 Its exactly the simplicity of the image that strikes me, Andrew. The ominous could cast by that cloud that fans across the textures of almost nothing. I wonder if you crop a bit off the bottom if the composition doesn't gain more tension and becomes even more captivating? Toast to you. Link to comment
acjtucson 0 Posted July 5, 2009 Thanks for the comments. It really is a stark and desolate place but extraordinarily beautiful at the same time. I will toy around with cropping off the bottom. I was thinking more of a square format with a 50-50 horizon--but I was only thinking that after I was 600 miles away! Nothing like planning ahead. Link to comment
stp 6 Posted July 5, 2009 I love this landscape with dramatic, expanding clouds over a desolate landscape. I like to crop, but in this case I wouldn't remove anything from the bottom -- it contributes to the vastness of the place. I might try adding more contrast to the clouds, thereby making a portion of them darker and more ominous, and this might further enhance the image. It's a great shot. Link to comment
