Not Here 93 Posted June 26, 2009 :-).... Good one - it brings a smile! Every child needs a dog friend. For a comment, the lighting on the upper part of the image looks a little flat, perhaps you could bump the highlights and improve this... I've attached an example of my thoughts, if you don't like it I'll be glad to remove... Regardless, a precious shot.... Mike Link to comment
sinhnga 0 Posted June 27, 2009 Hi Michael, many thanks to you and your ideas. They do help my photo stand out! I just spent some time visiting your porfolio " Smokies May-June 2009". I really like your works, especially "Solitude on the balsam...; Mystical River & Eve. Mist etc... Where did you find this place? I would like to know so I can add it to my future outing plan. Thanks again for your comment! Sinh Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted June 27, 2009 Sinh... Thank you for coming over and looking through my folder. Let me make sure I understand your question. If you want to know the area where all those were taken, then it was in the Great Smoky Mountain National Forest in southeast Tennessee and over into adjacent North Carolina. If you want to know where the images were taken then here's that info also. "Solitude on the Balsam Mountain Trail" was taken on the Balsam Mountain Trail between Tricorner Knob Shelter and Mount Yonaguska in the northeast section of the Park. "Mystical River" was taken on the Little Pigeon River just off of the Greenbrier Road on the north side of the Park. You can access this road from US 321 out of Gatlinburg, Tennessee. "Evening Mist on Big Creek" was taken from a bridge just at Backcountry Camp No. 37 on the Big Creek Trail on the northeast side of the Park. The Solitude and Evening Mist locations will require an overnight camping trip, or a very very long day hike. The Mystical River location is about 20 yards from a parking space. If you've never been, the Smokies are a fantastic place to visit with photo opportunities everywhere. Mike Link to comment
