Guest Guest Posted June 23, 2009 Very touching. At first I disliked the soft focus, but looking at the picture larger I like it very much and gave it 7/7. Link to comment
wolfgangarnold 142 Posted June 23, 2009 Similar to Bruce, I was doubtful at first glance: is this a very good or a very bad photograph? Aren't title and arrangement a bit too straight? Well, I couldn't simply click it away - proof that to me it's a very good and powerful one - though I can't quite decide why that is.Maybe it's the very human touch it has - due to lacking sharpness, low contrast, imperfect body and fragility implied by the flowers... podstawek 0 Posted July 16, 2009 Svetlana, Your approach to sharpness and unsharpness are appealing to me, you have mastered unclarity and uncertainty in your images. However, this is not only about the technique. You must be a poet at heart, because your images are like poems. They have something obvious, like the stone and the flowers, and something unclear, a not-so-obvious element, like the missing face in this image... These qualities are a characteristic feature of poetry, and of art in general which gives us freedom of interpretation and emotional reflection. I really adore your works, especially the unclear, unsharp portraits and figures of people. Very beautiful, calm, and poetic photographs. The people in your images seem somehow lost, but at the same time happy and close to one another. Link to comment
