sumon_mukherjee 0 Posted June 17, 2009 What a discovery ! Now, with all his curiosity, he will start finding wonders of life. All my best for him. Best regards. Link to comment
margaret1 0 Posted June 17, 2009 Thanks, Sumon. It is such a treat to be a part of that discovery. After I babysit, it takes a day to recover, but it is so worth it. That's why the young have babies!! Thanks for stopping by. Link to comment
Donna Stavis 0 Posted June 17, 2009 This baby is too cute! Nice idea and so successful. I see he has his "peeps" with him -- the bird, etc. : ) Link to comment
margaret1 0 Posted June 17, 2009 Thanks Aivar. I appreciate you stopping by. Hey Donna. To be honest, I did not even notice the bird!!! ps did you get my email? Link to comment
johnroberts 0 Posted June 18, 2009 A very innovative child portrait which shows the joy of discovery. I have the same feelings as yourself as i am over here in Hawaii, a long way from home, for the 1st birthday of my daughters twin girls ! Kind regards John Link to comment

o.bilge 0 Posted June 20, 2009 you got a very nice and original image.. wonderful.. I wondered with this image: How a child does know that it is (s)he?.. I know lovebird consider that it is another bird.. would he know without parents' help?.. take care.. OB Link to comment
margaret1 0 Posted June 22, 2009 Tom, uh, I do. I think the kids think it is Grandma's other appendage-poor kids. I baby-sit this little one once a week, and sometimes taking photos is the one thing that keeps me sane after a day of no contact with adults. How did I do it when my kids were babies?!?!? ozgur-what a fascinating question. I think he may know he is the one in the mirror. My son told me that since I gave Vance the book, that he is constantly looking at himself. I intend to get him a big mirror. Link to comment
margaret1 0 Posted June 22, 2009 ozgur, I researched your question. Babies do start to know themselves in mirrors when they are between nine and twenty-four months old. Vance just turned nine months, so I guess he knows who he is! Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted June 26, 2009 If I were that cute, I'd spend all my days looking at myself. Thankfully, I'm not. Link to comment
