Sonia, your translation for "maydonoz" is right and your explanation is also right. I thought that it would be a long explanation, so I did not put it there; and I thought it would be understood by feeling.. Sorry for not putting an explanation in time.. Explanation: there is a turkish idiom (her yemege maydonoz olmak); and its direct translation (becoming parsley in every meal or mixing in every meal like parsley).. I don't know whether direct translation did imply right meaning. Actually meaning of it is negative: It is used for the person(like me) who interferes to events that he should not.. OB

hmmm, interesting. I'm not a big fan of parsley, so I understand its negative connotation. I looked it up the definition on the Internet before posting my question, but couldn't quite make the connection between Ozgur being parsley and that being a bad thing, although, from the context, it was pretty clear that Ozgur was insulting himself with a good portion of humor. Well, I thoroughly enjoyed the expression and I appreciate parsley in this case. Although I might not always agree I keep an open mind and am grateful to see things through other's eyes. Why else would I post and ask for criticism?
