Guest Guest Posted June 16, 2009 This is probably your most successful picture. You've got the near and far, the rocks and the rivulets, but the important thing is the contours of each, two elements which have a shared visual character. I have a little trouble with the cascade at top, and not being able to see where those vertical streams are dropping from, but that's a minor thing. I agree that it's too much foreground--a mossy bank which has a quadrilateral shape, and doesn't work well with the organic shapes through the rest of your picture. One trick is to break it up with a bit of burning in here and there, another is to crop it and get that downslope a little further from your corner. You incorporate it for that dark corner which defines your picture, and you can get the same effect in less area by bringing the value down a little more. Link to comment

charliecrusan 0 Posted April 7, 2012 I guess I'm the minority here, but I love the sharply detailed moss in the foreground. I think that sets it apart from the blurred waterfall in the background. Nice shot, Charlie Link to comment
