glen_woodman 0 Posted June 14, 2009 Great shot. The intensity of the look and the color of the eyes. How long did you have to wait for the shot? Glen Link to comment

briant 0 Posted June 14, 2009 Again we have a 3/3 voter here- this just has to stop! I have cancelled my subscription to PhotoNet- they are more interested now in the advertising revenue than protecting the integrity of the rating system. Link to comment
briant 0 Posted June 14, 2009 Does anyone know an alterative site - where these anonymous 3/3 votes would not be permitted for a photo like this? Link to comment
prebb 0 Posted June 15, 2009 Excellent photo with great light and a nice low camera stand. Perfect DOF although my eyes gets drawn towards the straws (more in focus) at the bottom left side. Good placement of the cheetah in the surface, so I would not crop it. regards, P Link to comment
bruckner 541 Posted June 15, 2009 Nice light, the only thing I would do different is remove the blue spots in left corner. Link to comment
wei_xu 0 Posted June 16, 2009 Very nice color, lighting and composition. Congratulations and thanks for sharing. Regards, Wei Link to comment
matman1975 0 Posted June 16, 2009 Majesic light and colors! The way that the cheetah's face is illuminated by soft, warm light makes all the difference. Well done, regards, Teo Link to comment

kahkityoong 0 Posted July 1, 2009 "Does anyone know an alterative site - where these anonymous 3/3 votes would not be permitted for a photo like this?" There are alternative sites that do away with rating systems. I do many critiques myself and 3/3s for a shot like this just tell me that there are lots of idiots around who should probably spend more time working out how to use their own cameras. Ratings below 4 are supposed to reflect errors in exposure, focus, poor composition. This may not be the best cheetah shot around but it certainly is sharp, properly focused, correctly exposed. Whether the composition is up to it or not is a matter of taste. Frankly I know enough about photography not to bother about the 3/3s. Feel free to email be about websites where you can get more constructive feedback on your images. Link to comment
jill_rocker 1 Posted July 2, 2009 At first I just want to say that I agree with you all the way about this 3/3 rates... I´m just a beginner but I think it´s very hard to know what is good and what is bad about my photos if I get 3/3 and 7/7 on the same shot.... I hope you find another site you like.... Now to your shot.... I feel for this totally.. The amazing mood in this shot and the fact that it almost feels that I´m right there when I look at this one.... The warm and beautiful light that hits the cheetahs face is just gorgeous.. The colors I think is just perfect for this kind of wildlife shots... Very nice details in the cheetahs coat also... The horizon line that goes just with the top of he´s head is maybe the only thing I´m not so found of but that´s a tiny thing in this amazing wildlife shot.... Splendid work.... trisha jean-angela 5 Posted July 30, 2010 Wow...even brilliant photographs get 3/3's! I wish these 3/3 raters would contribute their names and reason for such ratings! :(About this photo: I love the light and how it is caught on the cheetah's fur and in its eyes. The expression on the face and the detail in general are superb. I love the focus and the background, the soft sublte golden hues...all around a wonderful capture that makes me awestruck about the gift of nature and life. Excellent and beautiful photo! Thank you for sharing. :) Link to comment
