I sat on this unnamed crag for a little while, probably the first person to ever do so, and watched this ominous cloud roll over. After I took this picture, the camera, which was atop my tripod, began to hum and crackle, with an audible bzzzzzt-crk-crk-bzzzt-crk. I realised there was some electrical energy in the sky, trying to earth itself through my camera, however the rubber feet of the tripod were to some extent insulating it from the ground. What to do, what to do? The camera was humming quite loudly, and when I reluctantly grabbed it, a current zapped through me to the rocks. I scurried down from the crag quickly, and very soon after, one solitary crack of lightning lit up the sky to the west. The cloud carried on to the east, and the sky cleared.

Yes, you can see the storm clouds in the sky. You are lucky, I think! Camera and maybe even you could have been melted. It is VERY good to see you back, knowing that!

Very good tonal range. I am enjoying viewing the rocks. Well balanced compostition. The peaks of the range draw you into and to the back of the photo.

The foreground rock and the sky are quite nice but the middle third of the image, while adding perspective and depth, don't do very much for me

You show me around New York, and I'll show you around Tasmania. It may take me a few years to save up to get there though.............a deal?
