brian_jenkins 0 Posted December 24, 2002 Stunning image, I love the DOF you've brought to the piece! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 27, 2002 nice way to photography a very tall building, horizontal frame, at night without having a huge black void... I like how the lights on the tree become the stars in the sky, and I'm trying to picture the tree not overlapping the building, though in my mind, its not coming out as well Link to comment
hazeelin_hassan 0 Posted January 2, 2003 I really love this. I like the composition, the lighting, the tree. Great! Link to comment
jon_fernquest 0 Posted March 12, 2003 This is certainly a unique and subtle way to screen or filter the view of a skyscraper! I thought they were cherry blossoms at first. Link to comment
laura2 0 Posted March 14, 2003 ...how I wonder what my ratings are... :) (Well on a less poetic note, this picture was not digitally altered. I was surprised by the effect I got in this photograph, but was disappointed by the lack of comments after a day or two when I put it up to be rated last time.) Please share with me what you think of this shot! Thanks. :) Link to comment
wenger 0 Posted March 14, 2003 This is a nice shot, but I can't help but think I should see the top of the building, or conversely not see so very close to the top. Link to comment
slava_kozlov 0 Posted June 13, 2003 I agree with Thomas in above comment - the eye is lead to the top of the building and left there unsatisfied - pooh. Also the black triangle on the left - not exciting. I upload a tighter crop for testing that the picture benefits from my suggestion. But what I find really wonderful is that the craggly structure of the tree against the skyscraper (the lights disappear) is mimicked by the lights against the black background on the left (the tree disappears). Bare trees are very picturesque and very photoesque it seems too. (If anyone is actually wondering - none of the lights are actual stars; they are too dim to be seen at night so close to a lit building, even by human eyes.) Link to comment
ricky lopez bruni 0 Posted May 21, 2004 LAURA; I LIKE THE EFFECT THAT YOU ACHIEVED WITH THIS ONE...THE LIGHTS ALMOST FEEL AS IF THEY WERE STARS...NOT SEEING THE TOP OF THE BUILDING..DOSNT BOTHER ME AT ALL..BUT THATS THE BEAUTY OF PHOTOGRAPHY..IF YOU ARE UNPLEASED WITH THE RESULTS..YOU ALLWAYS CAN GO BACK AND RE-SHOOT...VERY NICE..CONGRATS RICKY LOPEZ DE GUATEMALA Link to comment
