a.sparks 0 Posted June 8, 2009 This is a female Anna and a female Rufous Humming bird battling over the feeder. This usually happens very quickly and you can barely see it happen. This time it played out much slower and I was able to catch this photo. I was surprised to see the Rufous with a beakful of the Anna's feathers. Please view LARGE. Comments welcome. josso 0 Posted June 8, 2009 Great shot! Perfect timing! This usally happens so fast it is very tuff to capture.Hummingbirds are always fighting for food and by seeing this shot, I realise why some of them are missing many feathers.. Cheers, Nico Link to comment
