v. bice 0 Posted December 21, 2002 Fine job Kathy...Lovely cat photo...lovely crop..just perfect. I try about once a week to capture this type of angle and look from my cat....they aren't easy subjects to capture. Link to comment
bob_pictaker 1 Posted December 23, 2002 Kathy - You certainly did get the cats eyes nicely, unfortunately you lost the detail in most other areas. Most of this cats face is pure black, reading 0-0-0. This leaves whiskers and a few stray gray hairs jutting out of a featureless field of black. A black and white cat can be difficult to shoot but I suggest you try this shot again paying attention to the detail in the blacks. If your camera lets you pick different contrast settings try lowering the contrast, you can always bring it back to where you want it later in PS (within limits). But you will have a better chance at getting the detail in the blacks without blowing out the whites. Then you can bring out the eyes. BTW I had a cat very similar to Cleocatra. His name was Bubba. He was with me for almost 20 years. Link to comment
