wogears 186 Posted June 3, 2009 Excellent wedding shot. Love the combo of classic soft lighting with the flip-flops and the glasses. Wide-angle serves well. Also I would probably fly to Oz to date the bridesmaid. :) Link to comment
Matthew Brennan 3 Posted June 4, 2009 Michael, This is a refreshingly original image. The composition is 'just so', placement of the subjects is great and appears quite natural and candid enough to give this image an air of authenticity. The best man with his grin and arms folded overseeing from a height works very well. Colours harmonise well here, the dresses of the bride and bridesmaid compliment the lichen encrusted timbers of those fig buttresses. Thongs as footwear of choice for the matrimonial couple is quite a revelation, quite a statement and a delightfully amusing touch for my tastes. My only crit is not quite getting the bridesmaid's right foot into frame. Otherwise a very pleasing and light hearted wedding photo with a difference. I hope the response was positive from the happy couple...? Link to comment
sky blue 0 Posted June 5, 2009 Quite the fantasy shot. I'm looking for a leprachaun or something. Very nice and original. Best regards, ~Sky Link to comment
michaelhills 0 Posted August 18, 2009 Thanks, fellas. :) Matthew, I hear ya regarding the toes.... I kicked myself after for not paying enough attention to framing (I've still go a lot to learn). My only excuse was that is was DARK and getting darker by the second and I felt (ever so slightly) pressured. Handheld. Love the thongs/flipflops.... how much more Aussie can one get? :) M :) Link to comment
