But one has to say that it is quite hard to produce an original photo of Venice. On the other hand, the composition and treatment are quite good, the silent, somewhat somber atmosphere of the channel is well rendered. I don't think you should have gone for some form of HDR. First of all I'm not a fan of HDR: I see it as something close to using a fisheye, it might work for specific cases but it tires quite fast, and is frequently overdone. But more generally, venice is a place of strong light contrasts, dark alleys ans sunny squares, sharp water reflections. Your photo has a very good tonal range, I would not touch it. Cheers! L.
