This model was quite serious and I mostly wanted to bring that out.

What works for you in this image?

I like her expression here too. It is still serious but more peaceful. I looked at this with the top of her head cropped a bit and I'm wondering if cropping it might work well for this close-up. I think it might pull the viewer in towards those captivating eyes more. Nice Work!

Nice composition, this tight shot really works. Lighting is excellent and the pose is classic. Kelly mentioned cropping, I think the shot works well as is, but cropping the top a little will highlight the eyes more, with the result that the eyes will be positioned in the top third of the frame. Great work, you are very good at portraits.

Best wishes...Tracy

Serious side, yes, somewhat. If I were to choose amongst the four in the series this photograph would rank fourth. Perhaps because she isn't smiling...

This Just goes to show how diverse opinions can be. This portrait which Rajat would place fourth is my own favourite. I think the expression is wonderful and I agree with Kelly, to me she looks serious yet calm. Your lighting set up also seems best suited to this in close appraoch. I am not sure if I feel you need to crop in so close as to cut off the top of her head, but I do think a tighter crop on the top is in order. You have come in close on the sides as well as the bottom so the image feels unbalanced with that empty blackness at the top. Just clipping the hairline in the center in order to divide the blacness into two separate sections works well for me.
