giggles 0 Posted May 25, 2009 This is from one of my favorite infant sessions. He is a two month old and did so well at making eye contact with me. Link to comment
jerrymat 5 Posted May 26, 2009 The pose, angle of body, face, and lighting are fine. The expression is neutral but talking to the baby or even doing something like contacting his hand with a feather might improve his response. The one area that bothers me is the background, where the dark gray replaces the white. By using clothes pins and stands or whatever, the white sheet or blanket could be elevated so that the entire background was an even white. Regards, Jerry Link to comment
giggles 0 Posted May 26, 2009 Thanks Jerry for your feedback. I appreciate it. I actually wasn't going for a smile since he is only about 8 weeks old so just getting eye contact at this age without a squished up face or crossed eyes is an achievement. The grey you are referring to is my seamless backdrop and the baby is laying on the beanbag. I also don't mind the background changes since they match his outfit. I have attached a photo that would be more your style from the shot but I have to say that the softness and expression of my original submission is still my favorite. Thanks again though for taking the time to analyze my photo and give me your point of view. Link to comment
