Of course, each of you are welcome here and I appreciate you taking time to view any of my photographs. It is my first time to see ballet in person and to photograph one as well. I don't know that I would have anticipated any enjoyment while attending had it not been for my friend, Pnina Evental, and her inspirational dance images that she shares with everyone here on PN.

tried a new field , ENJOYED it, and hope you will continue . I'm thankful that my work was your inspiration. As it is your first try I think the result is good ,light stage is a tough story, and you did well. I will follow your continuation, but for me the fact that you have enjoyed a new way of art experience , that you were not connected to before, is the best of all! ;-))

I trust it was a restful vacation in Europe. I'm sure you also found some wonderful scenes to photograph.

 

I was excited to have you see this photo and relate my experience with you. I'm sure confirming what you knew it could be. I appreciate your comment for this image very much. It was indeed a challenge to expose for this dark setting. It was quite a different and pleasant experience for me as well. I was mesmerized several times. The music and the movement become hypnotic as the performance builds. I'm sure I will have little difficultly in being convinced to attend another performance anytime. Thanks again for revealing this world to me.

Hey Kim, Can you see a cowboy in a ballet enjoying himself? I couldn't before this performance. Actually, I looked more like a photographer than a cowboy at this event. Wouldn't want too many people talking. If I can ever afford box seats I will wear my cowboy hat without a second thought; otherwise it hinders the view for too many folks. I'm sure I wouldn't have given something like this a second look in earlier years. Uh oh, I didn't realize I was becoming known for edge treatments. I liked the foggy look that this one gave. Here's the deal Sky ............ we went to the Ballet because it was our understanding that it was to be IMMEDIATELY followed by 'calf roping' .......... That's our story and we're stickin' to it.

As for cowboys in the ballet, It's not so much what's wrong with cowboys at the ballet, it's more all of the fighting of one's way past every other dang cowboy that catches you coming out or goin' in and thinks it wasn't the place for a cowboy to be. My knuckles and jaw get so worn out... (LOL) Of course I'm joking but I know what the reality of such incidents are. All in the name of eduction, of course! And next week all the cowboys just might go... (As long as I win all the fights) & ~Sky

Tell Ken W. that his ballet with you, Els and him, is very nice ,but he should add me as well, so it will be the quartet dance in the well known " Swan Lake", Tchikovski's ballet......lol.....

Elsi, you really made me smile, we( Sky, Elsi , Ken and myself) are now a group of dancers, fitting for "Swan Lake" quartet.... even though it will be a limping quartet.... LOL... but the company of us together , WOW !! that will be worth everything!

Dear PN ina, K double you is always a riddle, the last news was that he will visit the Netherlands early July, so we have to wait, but we can practice already a little bit ;D

 

I am happy you were laughing out loud, laughing is good for everything, I have a big smile on my face picturing the 4 of us dancing, especially with the 2 cowboys wearing a ballet skirt

I apologize ladies, I am late coming to the dance but please may I requesition some of those tight leotards rather than the little dress. I believe it will help my performance immensely. (I too have smiled but have also scared myself as well.) LOL ~Sky
