Thanks for your comments. As a former geologist (yet once a geologist, always a geologist) I can't resist formations such as this. The exposures at this location are spectacular and well worth a side trip from Vegas. Or forget Vegas and go straight to this area (my recommendation . . . I dislike Vegas intensely).
