fabien_. 0 Posted December 19, 2002 Yes, actually, I have asked myself what could be the relation between all these pictures, and I... I have been inspired by R.Depardon's book called "Errance" (in french only, unfortunately). I have no pretention to show a "concept" with these pictures, so I appreciate à lot the comments... I am currently writing a text that will be gathered with the pictures (once printed, they will look less "coarse"). The thema will be "the intermediary moments, between dreams and morning reality, between here and far away from your place". Wandering around, and just breathing the strange atmosphere of these places has been my leit motiv.... What's your feeling about it? Link to comment
mriy 0 Posted January 26, 2003 This is my favorite of the folder. The contrast and exposure are nice and the composition is the most interesting, though I wish there were jsut somethign a little extra on the left side. Not sure why I feel that way. I like the DOF, though perhaps even more focus depth would bring out more interesting details far in the background. The fine details work well with the composition. The car is nice and it suggests a lot about the location and the mood and the owner. THe power lines also add a lot of texture and context. I wish there were a little more action in the sky, just a hint to break up that big blank area that runs off the picture at the top. As it is, it could be cropped down into almost a panoramic and still keep a lot of what makes it strong. Very nice Link to comment
