stemked 4 Posted May 18, 2009 Ok, but could be improved. 1) Really can't see the bird's eye. 2) The bird is too centered. Try cropping out some on the right side. Link to comment
dandem 1 Posted May 19, 2009 Very pleasing shot, Engela. It's totally natural in every way. Excellent work. max, my friend. Regards, LAwrence. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted May 19, 2009 Engela, I really do like this photo. I'd love to know what the bird is, it's really pretty. The nest is awesome, REALLY intricate weaving when viewed larger. The colors of the shot are also vivid without being overly saturated and I like your choice for the border. I agree that it could be cropped a little tighter but it's still a VERY nice photo. God Bless ;o) Link to comment
engela 0 Posted May 19, 2009 Thank you very much for the nice comments. This is a Yellow Weaver. It is distinguished from other golden weavers by the red eyes and the chestnut color on the face and neck. They are quite common in South Africa and like building nests near water. This particular image was taken from quite far away, because the bird build his nest "in" the water. Rgds, Engela Link to comment
