lliebl 5 Posted May 16, 2009 Your title suggests a locale. Had I not paid attention to the title, I would consider the air of this one to be mysterious. . . not quite sinister or ominous. Still the gray mist or fog plus a black-caped figure with back to the viewer gives that feel of a cloak and dagger movie of the 40s. And the trees. . . .well, you know how fond I am of trees, particularly in b&w. I like this one. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~L Link to comment
drewmurphy 0 Posted May 17, 2009 I like the hint of drama that the dark character and coat provide, against that beautiful winter backdrop...of course you composed it all beautifully, as usual ;) Really enjoyable work Carlos. Link to comment
aarkp 2 Posted May 17, 2009 Simply beautiful...the composition, the tones, the range of grays, the bare trees rising up against the dull sky and fading into the mist....everything, no point in i.d.-ing all...the frame would not have been complete without the dark cloaked figure. Link to comment

cyanatic 0 Posted March 10, 2011 Interesting to come to this from having just viewed some of your seaside shots. Although the light here is different than a seaside, you still handle it differently. Darker tonations that befit this misty and moody moment. The figure appears to be looking off into the mist, possibly moving, possibly stopped. A different kind of gazing than the lone man with his umbrella chair at the beach. This could have gone slightly sinister, but it doesn't. Not quite sad, either. Wistful, thoughtful, quiet. MarieH 701 Posted November 30, 2015 I think I'm starting to realize that it doesn't have to be so complicated. Thanks. Link to comment
