How do you find this? I desaturated the background; should I have kept it all as b/w?

I was drawn to this image because of the guys smile and expression. I think it is a great candid shot. I am not a huge fan of splitting images (even though I have also done it to make something stand out) but I think it works o.k. here. You my want to try partially desaturating the background. In any case I like the shot.
