elktooth 0 Posted May 21, 2009 I love this photo! Is this Ashley Canyon rim, or is it Brush Creek Canyon? I would be hard pressed to produce suggestions for improvement. Good work, Kim. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted May 23, 2009 Thanks Jim and Preston! Preston, it's Dowd Overlook, looking back toward Red Canyon visitor center. It's one of my favorite places when the flowers start coming out. It's from last June...I finally learned how to edit it so the sky looks right. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted May 23, 2009 Steve, thanks! The snow's gone; the flowers should be starting up there...the wildflowers are amazingly abundant in the valley this year (sparse is normal), so I hope they will be good on the mountain again. It's the season of ignoring yardwork and roaming with the camera...oh wait, I do that all year now...:~) Link to comment

sky blue 0 Posted May 23, 2009 This spot looks familiar! Not that I've been here but from your earlier photos. It's a pretty spot at any rate and you were there at the right time and did a great job capturing it. ~Sky Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted May 24, 2009 Thank you Sky and Leo! Yes Sky, the flowers should be coming out at this spot any time... Link to comment
t_t27 0 Posted May 27, 2009 Those SW storms are fantastic, sure made my heart beat a bit faster when I had the opportunity to be there. Beautiful light and nice drama here, Kim. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted May 28, 2009 Thanks Thai! Actually this is northeastern Utah at Flaming Gorge at about 7500 ft. elevation. We get good clouds too:~) Link to comment
