The fragility of this delicate animal (albeit one that has a sharp, piercing beak no less like a needle than the barbs of the wires) in such proximity to potentially devastating danger seems to represent a certain aspect of all life. Even the color of the sky and the silhouette -- no blue and bright details -- points to a time to reflection of imprisonment vs. the ability to be free and fly away. There's a similarity here to your latest museum post --- the spikes in life.... Link to comment
