pisq 0 Posted May 29, 2009 Great color and interesting flower. The composition suffers due to the strong highlights in the top back, and distracting colors on bottom left.I think a sharper focus would have helped, perhaps a bit of sharpening is needed.
sriram shankar gallery 0 Posted May 29, 2009 ...for your encouraging comments & ratings as well as the honest feedback & suggestions. Since this picture was taken during midday, the bright spots at the top in the background couldn't be avoided - and I also haven't used Photoshop or any other post-processing tool to change the image. If you have used any of them, is it easy to change/remove these background highlights? Cheers, Sriram
pisq 0 Posted May 30, 2009 well, you can also wait until the light changes, move the camera orientation, but if the flowers are nearby, you can study them ad nauseam, until it's just right :)
sriram shankar gallery 0 Posted May 30, 2009 I took this picture when I had gone to a function+lunch and I had casually carried my point & shoot compact camera. When I saw this nice flower on the terrace, I was attracted to it & instantly clicked it! Unfortunately, I didn't have the luxury of time to wait for the light to change! I guess, sometimes we just don't get the kind of time, lighting etc. ideally needed!
