uma_das 0 Posted December 13, 2002 Beautiful....wished it had a leaf at the right hand corner.:) Link to comment
dougityb 0 Posted December 16, 2002 That's amazing, alright. It looks like sugar. I would carry a little pair of clippers, like a doctor's scissors, or something tiny and precise when shooting in the garden like this. Removing the out of focus leaves in the background would have yeilded a much stronger image, and they would've grown back the next year. Your focus is good on the leaf, but falls out on the stem. Did you use a tripod? Link to comment
ilia 0 Posted December 31, 2002 If you liked this image I would appreciate your comments on the rest of the photos in my Scenics folder. If you are not too much into the landscapes of mine :), you may like my href="http://www.photo.net/photodb/folder? folder_id=179399&ratings=false">"Portraits of family and friends" better. ilia 0 Posted December 31, 2002 Nope, no tripod here - I was late for work and stopped by for less than a minute to snap this one... Link to comment
reza_golgoon 0 Posted December 31, 2002 I actually like the use of depth of field in this picture. Link to comment
peter_eisenburger 0 Posted January 11, 2003 Yes, sugar. The leaves in the background that are out of focus are okay. They are needed for balance. They fade out from the upper right to the lower left corner. I like your borders too. Link to comment
frank_hill1 0 Posted January 14, 2003 Great color behind the frost, this feels cold. Great light. You have a good eye to spy this while you were in a hurry. Do you wear your camera around your neck every morning??:-) Link to comment
jeff nichols 0 Posted January 19, 2003 nice idea. why not crop that stem out, just leaving a pinch of the red at the base. Link to comment
ilia 0 Posted January 19, 2003 Thanks Jeff - here's the symmetrical square crop you suggeted: Link to comment
laura2 0 Posted February 26, 2003 GORGEOUS PICTURE! VERY CREATIVE! I've never seen a leaf like this with that kind of frost. It looks sugarcoated. Link to comment
